A well established telecommunications company are seeking an IT Support Technician to join their expanding team to support users of their networks in their use of all systems across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Dealing with help-desk calls from users and forwarding as appropriate.
Provide support on electronic trading activities.
Server setup and maintenance
Virtual server management
AS400 reporting & admin
Application server support
Carry out office moves.
Order and set up and maintain PC and printer hardware.
Create and maintain user accounts on all systems.
Participate in the maintenance of departmental documentation.
Assist with general housekeeping and backup routines.
Help maintain disaster recovery plan.
Participate in maintaining high standards of service, resilience and security.
Occasional out of hours and off-site work will be required.
Keep Network Manager appraised of progress on all tasks and projects.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
Educated to A'level
At least 2 years in a related role
Essential Skills
Windows – most recent editions
Active Directory
Exchange Server
ISA Server
AS400 operations
MS Office
Firewall
Compaq/HP hardware
Cabling and infrastructure, Ethernet & wireless networking
Ability to understand complex business systems
Good interpersonal skills
