Completing projects requires a skilled workforce with expertise in working closely with clients and due to expansion in the southern region they are now seeking an Estimator to complete the team.
The Role
You will be expected to Liaise with the Bid Team, Directors and Clients and be given responsibility for supervising the Estimator and Junior Estimators around the South East OF England. As a member of the Estimating team you will be completing tender documents, preparing sub contact and material enquiries whilst also allocating suppliers. Responsibilities: •Assess enquiries sent into the office, for suitability depending on the project •Provide accurate reports for the clients, summarising the risks and opportunities with the tender •Liaise with team members to come up with workable solutions to potential risks that are economically viable •Seek opportunities to increase profitability of tenders •Communicate with other team members to get pertinent information on techniques/ production, to be able to produce contract winning estimates •Ensure that deadlines set by clients for tenders are met •Attend and contribute at meetings and presentations with clients as part of the proposals team
About You:
The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in Building, Civil Engineering or Economics. You will have ARICS, MCIOB or ICES status, with previous building and civil experience and successful track record of managing tenders to the value of 15 million. It is essential to this role that you will have previously produced piling estimates for the construction / civil industry.
